New Years

For New Year's Eve this year, we all went up to Tyler's family cabin in Prescott. I had been checking the weather for weeks up until we left, and sure enough it was supposed to snow while we were there! I love to play in the snow, but I'm pretty sure if I ever lived in it...I'd die.
I got off work at 1:30 and then we hitched a ride up there with Tyler and Mike. Part of the group had gone up there a few hours earlier, and when they arrived the heat didn't work throughout the house! It was 40 degrees in there, and they had to wait for a tech all day to come. Luckily, we got there just as the heat guy was finishing so it wasn't as miserable for us :)
The first thing we did was go down town to find some food. It was snowing while we were walking around, and it was so magical.

Must have hot chocolate. I don't really have a winter wardrobe...so I was freezing.

Fireworks! Landon is a bit of a pyro...so this was the only time I saw him while we were doing fireworks. He would go off on his own and just start shooting down the street. Like a little boy with fire...he was in heaven.

Playing Quelf. Probably the weirdest, longest game I've ever played.

Our views.

On New Year's day we all got breakfast and tried to find a place for sledding. We went to Goodwill and Big 5 so we could get snow pants, since Landon didn't bring his and I don't own any.

This was probably the worst place we could have found for sledding. There was snow on the ground, but not enough to cover all the rocks and twigs! I only went down twice, and my butt was paying for it. Everyone had bruises and scratches afterwards.

I wish I had taken a picture inside the house, because there were over 20 people staying there and we had air mattresses all over the place. We had a blast. I can't wait for our next friends trip. Hopefully at a beach somewhere..
