There was lots of celebrating this month. Landon and I have 7 birthdays in October from both our families combined. I love it, that just means more celebratory dinners and cake. It's also Halloween which means excuses to eat candy and get dressed up. We ate, we celebrated, and we did a bunch of other random stuff.
26! I love, love that mine and Landon's birthdays are only a week apart. It makes celebrating so much more fun. Plus we get to drag the birthday card out for a week and it's awesome. I'm signed up for birthday coupons galore, so we took full advantage of that! Free steak dinners, burgers, pizza, ice cream. So much free, tasty goodness.
We had Sean come over one Saturday morning early, to help us with something, and then we decided to have a scary movie marathon. Both boys fell asleep, it was the cutest thing.
We tried this new hot dog place in Phoenix, and it did not disappoint. They had Uno for us to play while we waited, which I loved. I could play Uno all day. My hot dog came with man n cheese on it, and it was glorious.
We drove up to Phoenix to go through the open house for the new temple, and it was amazing. We went with Mercedes and Jason, and some friends of his from school. Cedes made us homemade chicken noodle soup and bread for dinner and it was delicious. The temple was so beautiful. It was so different from the Gilbert temple, but just as stunning.
Sleepy Stone.
The Thursday before Halloween, we went to the Horton's to carve pumpkins. For some reason I thought it was the week before, so Landon and I show up wondering why nobody else is there and then Courtney let's us know it's next week. Haha, blonde moment. I lost my mind for a little bit in October.

Carving time! We had so much fun. I love carving pumpkins, and it's something my family did every year growing up. Now that all my family has moved away we haven't done it in years, so I'm glad that this year we had lots of family to do it with.

Landon was pretty proud of himself for fastening our pumpkins to our balcony. We dressed up as Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction! I think we nailed it. I love that I married someone who loves to do couples costumes. It makes Halloween so much more fun. Last year we did Tom Hanks and Wilson from Cast Away, so maybe we'll keep the movie theme a Halloween tradition ;)

Halloween is a HUGE deal at my office. The teams really go all out with the decorating. Our theme this year was The Wizard of Oz. I volunteered to do that desserts we were going to use to bribe the judges. I immediately regretted that the week of. Halloween week was so busy, and the only time I had to prepare the treats was the night of pumpkin carving. Let's just say my poor husband is a saint for putting up with me when I'm crazy stressed. He was so patient, and helped me to get them all done and decorated. They didn't turn out as cute as I'd hope they would, but they turned out to be a hit! Everyone loved them, thankfully.

The whole gang, minus a few, The hard work paid off! We won the competition and now we get a pizza party.
My calling at church is the ward choir pianist, and it makes me really anxious. Playing in front of people isn't easy for me. I didn't have a piano to practice on regularly, I could only use the piano at church, which is only open twice during the week. A few Sundays ago, my Relief Society president offered me her keyboard to use and Landon also ordered me a pedal to go with it, so now I have my very own piano to use! Yahoo! Now I'm forced to practice everyday. Pray for me, I've got 7 new songs to learn for the Christmas program coming up.
