san diego day trip

this past sunday our church was only an hour and a half. we were done by 11:30 which meant we had the whole day to explore. we had to go into murrieta to drop off some sales from the week before, so we decided to keep driving for about an hour until we got to san diego. 

we stopped first to walk around the san diego temple. it was just as beautiful as i remember. 

next up was la jolla beach! this was pretty late in the afternoon, but the water was perfect. it was the first time i had swam in the ocean since i moved home from hawaii 4 years ago! i forgot how much i missed it.

at first we had to go into the water one by one because someone had to stay behind and watch our valuables. after lando came back, we decided that was lame and that everything needed to go into the trunk so we could swim together. it was nice not have our phones or cameras around and really just enjoy the ocean. i do wish i had gotten a picture of the giant mote he made though..

we ended our trip with a stop at fin's mexican eatery. it was recommended my by sister in law and we fell in love with it instantly. i got the chicken taquesos and landon got the carnitas burrito. we were talking about that food all night. definitely would recommend this place! seriously delish.
