life in cali...so far

life in california has been interesting...the weather is amazing, we've been able to see and do a lot of fun things in the short time we've been here.
but i am struggling. bad. we have very, very limited funds, and no internet (because we haven't been able to afford it just yet) i had hoped that when we moved here i would be able to find temporary, part time work for the duration, but i've been applying for weeks and no bites yet. what's frustrating is, back in arizona i have all these craft projects i got specifically to do in cali for the summer to keep me busy, and wouldn't ya know i left them there when we were packing. poor landon comes home to a crying grumpy wife some nights because i am so bored and so lonely. i've done some exploring, which isn't as entertaining on your own, i've been able to use the internet at the boy's apartment (the boys that live together and work on landon's sell team) and the complex does have a pool. but mostly i am just really trying to convince myself to stay here.
though i do tend to complain about this weird situation a tad too much, i still recognize how blessed we are. landon has done extremely well so far in his sales. it's amazing and i'm so proud of him for working so hard. we have a roof over our heads and enough eggs, cheese and tortillas to keep us alive ;) we'll start getting regular pay checks in a week, so hopefully things will turn around then. in the meantime, maybe pray that i'll have an attitude adjustment, oh and maybe a job too...please and thanks

on a funnier note, for the first three weeks of us being here, we had to sleep on separate beds. the mattress provided to us by the company was so uncomfortable. it sunk in the middle so when we both slept on it, we would sink and roll into eachother. luckily we had brought our air mattress with us and so landon slept on that and i got the bed. the other day we looked under the mattress at the box spring and what we found was laughable. the wooden bars were broken and taped together! we moved that sucker asap and now we can both sleep comfortably together on the same bed :)

good riddance.
